in 6 lessons tri-weekly on sundays in the months of Nov & December, January I will teach you how to design or adjust a base glaze to your own liking and specifications. lessons are english spoken, will take a full working day 10:30 - 15:00 (sandwiches, coffee & tea included). in short we will tackle the beginnings of glazing into a theoretical part and a practical part. ~theoretical:: what is a glaze what makes a stable glaze how to color a glaze matt versus glossy glaze how to maintain the glaze quality, sustainability, & stability (food//dishwasher safe..?¿) what are common glaze flaws and how to avoid these glaze application special effects ~practical:: making test plates on different clays design a glaze for electrical firing mixing a glaze testing for specific gravity glazing a testbatch on different clays testing variations on the testbatch use of your computer of iPad (glazesoftware & knowledgebase & archive) -dates:: //Nov. 5, 19 //Dec. 3, 17 // Jan 14 //Feb 4 -costs:: € 450 pp. including all materials.
