3Day Summer School Intensive Throwing

Service Description

- 3 day summer school in Scheveningen - 26, 27 & 28, of July every day 10:00 till 17:00 - including lunch and coffee//tea Join us for a transformative three-day summer school of wheel throwing, where you can take your pottery skills to new heights. You will immerse yourself in the art of wheel throwing, honing your techniques and expanding your creative repertoire. Throughout the intensive, you will have the opportunity to delve deep into the craft of wheel throwing, learning advanced methods and refining your skills. Janny & Odile will provide personalized instruction, offering insights and tips to help you master the wheel and create stunning ceramic pieces. On the final day of the intensive, you will select a few of your best works to finish off. By the end of the course, you will not only have expanded your wheel throwing abilities but also have a collection of beautifully crafted pottery pieces to proudly display. The plan: - Friday & Saturday: lots of throwing. - Sunday: trimming your selected artworks We will bisque and glaze your work if requested, with a limited amount of glazes available. Another option is to book a private session and glaze your works at a later date (or if you are already following a class you can do it yourself in the class). Meet Your Instructors for the 3-Day Ceramics Summer School ~Odile de Clerck is a ceramics pro with a serious passion for teaching. She graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts and has been sharing her love for ceramics for over 8 years. Odile is all about the traditional Japanese tea bowl, the chawan, and she's led popular "Creating Chawan" workshops at Werfklei in Utrecht. Her chawan pieces have even made it to international exhibitions! Beyond that, Odile loves teaching the meditative side of working with clay and has deep knowledge in the art of 'Terra Sigillata'. ~Janny van der Veen has spent years mastering the art of ceramics, learning from top potters and refining her skills at the Clay Academy in Amsterdam. She runs her own studio, where she teaches wheel-throwing and hosts a variety of workshops throughout the year. Janny has also led the summer school at 3TREES, showcasing her experience and passion for clay. She’s got a special interest in finding her own clay and creating decorative slips. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy Cancellations and Refunds: 1. Cancellations Made 7 Days or More Before the Workshop: * Participants may cancel their registration and receive a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled workshop date. 2. Cancellations Made 3-6 Days Before the Workshop: * Cancellations made within 3 to 6 days of the workshop date will receive a 50% refund. 3. Cancellations Made 2 Days or Less Before the Workshop: * Cancellations made 2 days or less before the workshop will not be eligible for a refund. However, participants may transfer their spot to another person. 4. No-shows: * Participants who do not show up for the workshop without prior notice will not receive a refund. Workshop Cancellations by the Organizer: * In the event that the workshop is cancelled by the organizer due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule for a future workshop.
